Knee High Story Time
Knee High Story Time meets at 9 am on Wednesdays. Each week you can expect stories, songs and rhymes around a specific theme followed by an optional craft. No registration necessary.
This calendar is a collaborative effort between Hello Cortland, Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs and the Cortland County Youth Bureau.

K-2 Library Zoo is a fun after school program for children in K-2nd grade. The program meets on Wednesdays at approximately 3:30 pm (after Homer Elementary walker dismissal) until 4:15 pm. Each week of the month will be a different program and includes: LEGO Club, Science Club, Book Club and Story Time.
Registration is not necessary.
Please make arrangements for your child to be dropped off and picked up by an adult. For questions email office@phillipsfreelibrary.org

Each week we celebrate a different theme with a free book for each family while supplies last (provided through generous grant funding from the Rosen Family Library Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County)

Registration is required. A program for emergent readers ages 4 – 7 yrs. & their caregivers. The program promotes early literacy skills with letter sounds & recognition, activities & stories. Each week children will receive a free book & parents will have learned activities to reinforce reading skills at home.

The Family Read Aloud book of the month is back! This month, enjoy reading Levar Burton’s “A Kids Book About Imagination” together. This interactive book poses questions to get us all thinking about what our imagination is and how we can unlock this superpower. Pick up your free copy of this book at the front desk of the library, available while supplies last.
This program is made possible by the Dryden Youth Opportunity Fund.

This two-day community festival celebrating stories and storytelling is a free family event highlighting performances of storytellers, readings by authors of books for all ages, writing and storytelling workshops.
We will meet on the last Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. to make a craft. Open to ages 6-12. Registration is limited and is required each month.
Rain location: McGraw Community Center.
